What is the matter with these Republicans? Don't they know that it's we Democrats who hold the franchise for "convention lunacy"?
We have worked long and hard for many, many years to develop our reputation for conventions that go from the ridiculous to the sublime and back. Along come the Republicans and in one weekend wipe out everything we have ever done setting a brand new standard for convention lunacy.
As a Democrat, I resent it and I feel better now that I said so.
