Skaters, skateboarders to compete at event

More than 800 teens will show off their best skateboard and in-line skating skills in the air on the ground. There will be in-line skating and skateboard competitions on a street course.
In addition to the competition, activities schedules include professional and amateur skateboard demonstrations, a bike-jumping exhibition and live music from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Food will available for purchase during the event. Plaques will be awarded for the competition and door prizes will be given out during the event.
The cost of compete is $65. Competitions will be held in three categories: ages 8-12, 13-18 and open. Registration will be taken prior to the event at the center or beginning at 10 a.m. on the day of the event. All participants must wear protective headgear and pads. Participants 17 and under must have an event waiver signed by a parent or guardian prior to competing. Call 455-7573 for details.
