Man killed in parking lot

A Las Vegas man was killed early today in an apartment complex parking lot where he had gone to visit his girlfriend, Metro Police said.
At 2:20 a.m., neighbors called police after they heard shots being fired at the complex in the 2800 block of East Charleston Boulevard, police said. Officers reported that they found a 26-year-old man lying dead in the parking lot with a gunshot in his torso.
Witnesses told police they heard one shot and saw two men running from the scene.
Witnesses also saw a red compact car, with partial Nevada license plate No. 079, leaving the parking lot.
The victim's name was not released.
