The character of the team and their stick-to-itiveness in the face of so many setbacks and disappointments is to be recognized and praised. Their rise to great heights in conquering all opponents in winning the WAC Championship was a monumental achievement.
The coaching staff is also to be praised for their attitude, professionalism, skill and encouragement. As for our head coach, Bill Bayno, he has truly demonstrated his knowledge and skills concerning basketball. Bayno, more importantly should be praised and recognized for his leadership, the positive attitude that he transmitted to his team and to UNLV fans, and for his deep community spirit and dedication. His determination to build a new and exciting program for UNLV, one that all fans could be proud of, should not go unnoticed.
We wish the returning players, coaches, and Bill Bayno good luck and success next season and in the future years to come. However we wish to thank all the players, coaches and the behind-the-scenes staff of the athletic department for an exciting season and the winning of the WAC championship.
