Letter: More crosswalks will help save pedestrians

You need thousands of double-bar crosswalks in Vegas; then have a law passed that it would be a flat $100 fine for going through these special walks and intersections faster than the speed limit on that street. That will slow down the maniacs.

Also, your transportation here needs some improving, especially the taxicabs. It cost us $20 to come from the Gold Coast to our home here on Nellis because the cabs keep the meters running at the signals and traffic tie-ups, which is wrong, especially for senior citizens who don't want to take a bus as they are handicapped and don't want to cross the streets as they are.
