Letter: Better research needed before bus stops moved

This stop is in front of the La Cut Beauty Shop, a business that stays busy all day. There is a small area, where a car can park, because it is not red-curbed.

Cars park there all day, while going into the beauty shop and the tattoo shop. That means when the bus shows up, they have to worm themselves around, while traffic is held up more so, than usual.

If you intend to keep this bus stop here, why not red-curb it; or put up a No Parking sign.

On Tropicana Avenue, in front of the Orleans, they put up a bus shelter, but it is not in use, because the bus can't pull up there because it is an area, where cars pull in. So they put a bus sign farther down, which I have no problem with. So why don't you take this bus shuttle and put it where it is needed.

Last July 1997, Bob Hasegawa from City Hall promised me that he would have a bus shelter put at Valley View Boulevard and Sahara Avenue. There is a bus stop there, no bench, no shelter.

That was July of last year. There is no bus shuttle there, still buses run every 45 minutes, so you have to stand on your feel until a bus shows up.
