Reno City Council to review city manager’s job performance

The City Council is scheduled to review McNeely's job performance during a closed personnel session today.
After that, council members will vote on whether he deserves and raise and a bonus.
Indications are that the council is pleased with McNeely's accomplishments.
"We set out goals and demand the city manager carry them out," Mayor Jeff Griffin said.
"He's on time, under budget and doing what we want. It doesn't get better than that."
McNeely was hired in February 1996. His annual salary was $103,000 and he was eligible for a $10,000 bonus.
Last year, the council increased his salary to $113,000 and raised his possible bonus to $15,000.
Council members will vote on whether to give him that bonus money and possibly another raise.
