Man faces charges that he killed girlfriend’s dog

A Las Vegas man will return to Justice Court on Thursday to face charges that after a tiff with his live-in girlfriend he drowned her brown and white Chihuahua in a toilet.
The dog's body was then dumped on the doorstep of the home of a relative where the woman was staying on March 8.
Bobby Alexander Williams faces the gross misdemeanor charge of killing another person's animal.
A Metro Police report indicates Williams and Lorraine Conner live together at 1116 Palmer St., near Owens Avenue and Pecos Road. But the couple had a fight and the woman went to the home of Nicole Conner to spend the night.
About 3:30 a.m., Williams telephoned Nicole Conner and told her to tell his girlfriend, "I need to know what she wants done with her dead dog," the police report indicated.
Lorraine Conner took the phone and was told by Williams that he had drowned her dog in the toilet, the charges allege.
He then is alleged to have driven to Nicole Conner's home several miles away and left the dog's body on the walkway.
Williams made his first court appearance Monday in Justice of the Peace Nancy Oesterle's courtroom, but the case was postponed because he didn't have a lawyer.
