The city of Henderson began observing 1998 International Building Safety Week Saturday by promoting the theme, "For a Safer Tomorrow." Henderson officials are providing information about building codes, regulations and procedures at a series of public displays and booths throughout the city. A representative will be available in the City Hall lobby on Tuesday, at Home Depot on Sunset Boulevard and U.S. 95 on Tuesday, and at Homebase at Sunset and Stephanie on Wednesday. International Building Safety Week is celebrated annually in an effort to ensure construction of safe, sound buildings.
