A Las Vegas man who hanged himself inside the Clark County Detention Center Tuesday has been identified as 39-year-old Doug McElravy.
McElravy used a bedsheet tied to a stool to choke himself to death, detention Sgt. LeRoy Kirkegard.
McElravy had been arrested Sunday night in the 4700 block of Faircenter Parkway, a jail spokesman said. He was charged with first-degree kidnapping with a deadly weapon, robbery with a weapon, with being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm and robbery conspiracy.
