Boulder City woman one of six honored with tourism award

CARSON CITY -- Six Nevadans, including a woman from Boulder City, received awards Friday for outstanding efforts in promoting tourism in rural Nevada.

Pam Ham of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority's Boulder City Visitors Center was cited for her "can-do efforts" in promoting tourism in Southern Nevada.

The awards were presented during the Nevada Commission on Tourism's annual "Rural Round-Up" conference in Minden.

Other awards went to Wally Cuchine of Eureka, Gail Munk of Lovelock, Lou Thompson of Hawthorne, Linda Bender of Incline Village and Joe Curtis of Virginia City.
