Chief Supreme Court Justice Charles Springer says he and other members of the state Judicial Selection Commission will interview the candidates April 20-23 in Reno.
Marren is leaving his job to take a position as city attorney in Mesquite.
Those who applied for his seat were Las Vegans Kendal Sue Bird, 34; Nicholas A. Del Vecchio, 40; Charles J. Hoskin, 34; Stephen R. Minagil, 46; and William O. Voy, 38.
Also applying were Arthur Ritchie Jr., 36, of Henderson; Randall H. Pike, 42, of Mount Charleston; and Elizabeth B. Kolkoski, 54, of Las Vegas. Kolkoski is chief of elder rights, state Division of Aging Services.
People who have comments about the applicants can send them to Karen Kavanau, Administrative Office of the Courts, by April 10. Comments will be kept confidential.
The seven-member Judicial Selection Commission will pick three finalists from the candidates. Then Gov. Bob Miller will make the selection.
