Johnson suffered from bipolar disorder, and authorities and family members said the mental illness characterized by unpredictable mood swings may have contributed to his death.
Johnson's body was found Monday at the south end of the Brunswick Canyon Bridge in Carson City.
Investigators said he may have fallen from the bridge and died of hypothermia.
In investigation continued, but authorities said he death appears to be accidental.
