Letter: Hands-off policy ignores good judgment of students

Tuesday, June 17, 1997 | 11:59 a.m.

I disagree with Principal Kinnaird's point of view on this subject. Every student at A-Tech applied, passed screening and was selected to be enrolled at A-Tech. The average student had a 3.5 GPA at the time he or she applied and is required to maintain a 2.0 at all times. I feel every student is dedicated and has an ability to show good judgment.

We are all very mature and should be allowed to "just be kids." I am sure Kinnaird was one of us at one time. He should not overlook this as he makes his decisions. I hope in doing this my voice will be heard. Thank you!
