Motorists are being asked to use alternate travel routes this week when portions of Flamingo Road and Main Street are closed for improvements.
On Thursday, traffic along Main Street between Stewart and Ogden avenues will be detoured from 2 to 4:30 a.m. while a crew from Marnell Corrao Construction Company installs an overhead pedestrian crosswalk with a crane. The structure will connect the California hotel-casino and RV park with the Main Street Station. Motorists will be detoured to First Street.
From midnight Saturday until 10 a.m. Sunday, east- and westbound traffic along Flamingo will be merged into a single lane between Valley View and Rainbow boulevards. Nevada Department of Transportation crews will be finishing flush seal operations.
