RENO (UPI)- Eddie Owens threw in 20 points Friday night to lead seventh-rated UNLV to an easy 102-87 non-conference win over Nevada-Reno in the Rebels season-opener.
Owens got offensive help from Sam Smith who tallied 19 and Glen Gondrezick who got 18. Edgar Jones and Stan Murdaugh each tallied 19 for the Wolf Pack.
