Joshua Clottey was involved in both, but it was a slap on the back from his trainer, Miguel Diaz, Saturday night at the Palms that fueled the Ghana native to his first world championship. “He pushed me out of the gym, but I pushed him out of the ring,” said Clottey, who claimed the IBF's welterweight title.

Sounding like the guy on the old Jerky Boys prank call who wants to “sue everybody,” Yoel Judah couldn’t decide precisely where to direct his frustration after his son Zab’s loss to Joshua Clottey for the IBF welterweight championship.

Joshua Clottey defeated Zab Judah by unanimous decision to claim the International Boxing Federation welterweight belt Saturday night at the Palms Casino.

On TV, Dr. James Game, the ringside physician, can be heard asking Judah several times if he wants to continue and seen holding up his fingers. "How many?" he asked the bleeding fighter. Judah either refused to answer or answered wrong.

The fight was stopped at the 1:22 mark in Round 9 when Zab Judah could no longer see from the blood dripping from a large cut above his right eye. Clottey then took all three scorecards to win the IBF title by unanimous decision.
