The Ninth Annual All-Henderson Home News Football Team

  • Offense:
  • QB - Robby Faiman, Basic (Sr.) - Faiman's ability to run and pass in Basic's spread offense helped the Wolves capture the Henderson City Championship.
  • RB - Derek Eamon, Del Sol (Sr.) - Eamon rushed for five touchdowns in a playoff game — in consecutive weeks.
  • RB - Earnest Hall, Del Sol (Jr.) - Hall took a back seat to Eamon at the end of the year, but still was second in yards gained among Henderson running backs.
  • WR - Justin Burdno, Basic (Sr.) - Burdno led the Henderson area with 13 receiving touchdowns, including three against Liberty and two against perennial Sunrise power Las Vegas High.
  • WR - Kyle Larimer, Green Valley (Sr.) - Larimer had 51 catches for 781 yards and four touchdowns.
  • TE - Tim Lawson, Del Sol (Sr.) - Lawson has been the Sunrise Region's top tight end the past two years.
  • OL - Jake Broyles, Foothill (Sr.) - Broyles will sign with Boise State in February.
  • OL -Alex Klorman, Del Sol (Sr.) - Klorman was the anchor of Del Sol's line on both sides of the ball.
  • C -James Hale, Del Sol (Sr.) - Hale, a virtual unknown at the beginning of the year, emerged as one of Del Sol's top linemen.
  • OL -Logan Nester, Del Sol (Sr.) - Nester led the way as Del Sol running backs rushed for the most yards in the Sunrise Region.
  • OL -Brighan Tauteoli, Green Valley (Sr.) - Tauteoli will most likely be playing on Saturdays.
  • PK -Nolan Kohorst, Green Valley (Jr.) - Kohorst connected on 10 field goals, including four of more than 50 yards. He should be one of the nation's top kickers next year.
  • Defense:
  • DL - Keenan Graham, Silverado (Sr.) - Graham, the Home News and Sunrise Region's defensive player of the year, has committed to UCLA.
  • DL - Alex Klorman, Del Sol (Sr.) - Klorman was a key contributor during Del Sol's run to the regional championship game the past three years.
  • DL - Devin Detommaso, Liberty (Sr.) - The 6-foot-1, 285 pound Detommaso physically overpowered most opponents he faced.
  • DL - Izach Lucas, Foothill (Sr.) - Foothill squeezed into the playoffs this fall thanks to the efforts of unsung heroes like Lucas.
  • LB - Jon Kirschbaum, Del Sol (Sr.) - Kirschbaum was the heart-and-soul of Del Sol's team which advanced to its third straight regional championship game.
  • LB - Derek Eamon, Del Sol (Sr.) - In addition to leading Henderson in rushing yards, Eamon led Del Sol in tackles.
  • LB - Brett Rather, Green Valley (Sr.) - Rather led Henderson with 139 tackles.
  • LB - Quincy Bagsby, Green Valley (Sr.) - Bagsby was arguably the Gators' top player on both sides of the ball.
  • DB - Derek Stevens, Green Valley (Sr.) - Stevens had 72 tackles — impressive figures for a defensive back — and three interceptions.
  • DB - Anthany Lessier, Basic (Sr.) - Lessier had two interceptions against Valley in the Sunrise Regional quarterfinals to spark the Wolves come-from-behind victory.
  • DB - Michael Wadsworth, Silverado (Sr.) - Wadsworth played several positions for the injury-plagued Skyhawks.
  • P - Jordan Miller, Green Valley (Sr.) - Miller averaged 43 yards per punt and placed 21 of his 39 kicks inside the 20-yard line.
  • Offensive player of the year: Derek Eamon, Del Sol
  • Defensive player of the year: Keenan Graham, Silverado
