The Sand Dollar Lounge Reestablishes Itself as a Pillar for Live Local Music


Las Vegas, NV: July 10th – 14th, Bar 702, home of The Sand Dollar Lounge, located at 3355 Spring Mountain Road, will be holding a 5-day party to celebrate their Grand Re-opening.

New owner, Brooke Alexander, wants to breath new life into the walls, while reviving the legendary history of the Sand Dollar Lounge. Huge local support has come to be a part of the opening weekend with a line up that really defines the club’s bright, new future. The grand re-opening weekend, stretching from Thursday, July 10th through Monday July 14th, will include some local legends like The Chris Tofield Band, The Moanin’ Black Snakes, and The Stoney Curtis Band, as well as some newer talents like Chris Zemba & The Late Shift Band and the absolutely amazing 10 piece Rockie Brown Band.

Brooke is excited to say, “Bar 702 will house The Sand Dollar Lounge stage as a platform for local performers to do what they are passionate about in an up close and personal setting. The club will be a place of live music for live people! We will be showcasing our local community of outstanding musicians who have an unparalleled depth of musical talent and collaboration. The Sand Dollar Lounge will host not only the Blues, but also Rock, Jazz, Funk and Pop.”

In 1976, the Sand Dollar Lounge opened its doors and became one of Las Vegas’ most iconic bars. Some of the greatest musicians and blues legends have graced this stage for nearly 40 years. People like Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Etta James, the Allman Brothers and even Mick Jagger wouldn’t miss this spot when they were in town.
