HENDERSON, Nev. (March 27, 2014) – In recognition of the Windermere Foundation’s 25th anniversary, Windermere Real Estate is hosting its Charity Challenge from March 17 to April 4, providing 21 nonprofit organizations in the Western United States with opportunities to receive $25,000 donations.

YMCA of Southern Nevada is among the finalists participating for a chance to win a $25,000 donation in the Arizona, Utah and Nevada region. Windermere Real Estate Nevada nominated the local nonprofit organization as a finalist.

At the end of the Charity Challenge, the nonprofit organizations that earn the most online votes in each of the contest’s five regions will each receive $25,000, totaling $125,000 in donations from the Windermere Foundation.

Community members are encouraged to vote online for their favorite nonprofit organizations by visiting the Windermere Real Estate Facebook page.

“The Charity Challenge reflects Windermere’s ongoing commitment to supporting valuable community organizations that provide assistance to low-income and homeless families,” said Robyn Yates, co-president of Windermere Real Estate Nevada. “We expect these donations to have a significant and lasting impact on the communities we serve.”

The Windermere Foundation is the nonprofit arm of Windermere Real Estate, one of the largest independent real estate companies in the nation with more than 7,000 agents and 300 offices throughout the Western U.S.
