Europeans favored in Ryder Cup betting

With Ryder Cup play scheduled to begin Friday at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Europe is favored by a half-point, minus 120 (risk $1.20 to win $1) to win the event, according to odds at the Las Vegas Hilton sports book.

Bettors can back the U.S. at plus a half-point at even money, according to Hilton odds.

Following are the odds for Friday morning's foursomes on the board at the Hilton:

Phil Mickelson and Anthony Kim (minus 120) vs. Padraig Harrington and Robert Karlsson (even money).

Henrik Stenson and Paul Casey (minus 130) vs. Justin Leonard and Hunter Mahan (plus 110).

Justin Rose and Ian Poulter (minus 120) vs. Stewart Cink and Chad Campbell (even money).

Sergio Garcia and Lee Westwood (minus 160) vs. Kenny Perry and Jim Furyk (plus 140).
