Jackson runs over Cowboys in Rams’ 34-14 victory

Eldorado High graduate Steven Jackson pummeled the Dallas Cowboys today at the Edward Jones Dome.

Jackson, 25, collected 160 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries for St. Louis in the Rams' 34-14 victory over the Cowboys.

The 6-foot-2, 235-pound running back entered the game with more fumbles (two) than TDs (one) on the season. In five games, Jackson had 348 rushing yards.

Dallas (4-3) has been considered a favorite in the NFC, but quarterback Tony Romo (fractured pinkie) did not start in St. Louis (2-4).

Jackson, who played at Oregon State after Eldorado, signed a six-year contract worth a possible $49.3 million -- $21 million is guaranteed – before the season.

His longest run Sunday was 56 yards.
