Gorman grads Antolin and Murray have big college games

Bishop Gorman High graduates Keola Antolin (Arizona) and DeMarco Murray (Oklahoma) paced their college football teams to victories Saturday.

Antolin rambled for 149 yards and three touchdowns Saturday night to help the Wildcats upset No. 25 California, 42-27, in Tucson.

A 5-foot-8, 180-pound freshman running back, Antolin entered the game with 67 yards on 25 carries this season.

When Nic Grigsby fumbled on his first run of the night, Antolin’s number was called. He was born in Hawaii and moved to Las Vegas with his family when he was 7.

The Wildcats (5-2, 3-1) moved into a tie for first place in the Pac-10 Conference with Oregon, Oregon State and Southern California. The sixth-ranked Trojans visit Arizona next Saturday.

Murray, a 6-1, 205-pound sophomore, ran 16 times for 83 yards and two touchdowns in the fourth-ranked Sooners' 45-31 victory over Kansas in Norman, Okla., to improve Oklahoma to 6-1.

Murray is just off a 1,000-yard pace for the season.
