Bridges tryout goes well for Wranglers

Saturday morning, the Wranglers signed goalie Bryan Bridges to a tryout agreement.

Saturday night, Bridges made 27 saves to help Las Vegas win a preseason game, 5-2, in Bakersfield over the Condors.

In 2006-07, Bridges, 22, went 14-16-1 for his hometown Victoria Salmon Kings in the ECHL.

Las Vegas improved its exhibition record to 2-0 on goals by forwards Tim Spencer, Mick Lawrence, Adam Miller, Chris Neiszner and Matt McKnight.

The Wranglers play their final preseason game Sunday night against the expansion Reign in Ontario.

Las Vegas opens the regular season in Alaska and plays its 2008-09 home opener against the Reign at the Orleans Arena on Oct. 23.
