UNLV football welcomes five recruits to town this weekend

With the Feb. 4 national signing day fast approaching, UNLV's football staff is welcoming five prospects to town this weekend for official visits.

The Rebels, who already have 18 combined commitments or mid-year signees for the '09 class, now appear to be targeting high school seniors heavily as opposed to junior college transfers.

All five players visiting over the weekend are linemen, and they include:

-Thomas Kilgore, an offensive lineman out of San Joaquin Memorial High in Fresno, Calif. At 6-foot-5, 305 pounds, he has offers on the table from UNLV, San Diego State, UNR and Bowling Green.

-Alex Cosenza, an offensive lineman from Hamilton High in Chandler, Ariz.

-Alphonse Doiron, an offensive lineman from West Valley High in Cottonwood, Calif.

-Ryan Waterman, who plays line on both sides of the ball, from West Ranch High in Stevenson Ranch, Calif.

-Japheth Gordon, an offensive lineman from Canyon High in Canyon Country, Calif.

The current commitment list includes three linemen.
