UNLV senior guard Wink Adams, a native of Houston, shows off a new tattoo on his right shoulder outside the Rebels' locker room after Wednesday's practice. He paid $80 for it Sunday at a tattoo parlor near the UNLV campus.

UNLV senior basketball player Wink Adams has been sporting a new look the past three days.

He’s bulkier and stronger, as we have documented, but his right shoulder is no long bare.

The basketball around his first name etched onto his left shoulder has faded over the years, so Adams decided to get some new ink on his right shoulder.

Sunday, when the Rebels did not practice, he went to a tattoo parlor near the UNLV campus and had the Houston Astros’ logo tattooed onto his right shoulder.

An H for Houston, his hometown, is incorporated in the logo. TX, for Texas, is below that. The Houston skyline underlines his new art work.

It cost $80.

After practice Wednesday, he said he told his mother -- Reandre Adams, better known as "Mama Wink" in and around Houston -- about it and she was pleased. She hadn't seen it yet.

Mama Wink, here you go.
