Hamga visits South Carolina, heads to Rutgers on Wednesday

Former UNLV center Beas Hamga, who last month decided to transfer mid-way through his redshirt freshman season, will begin an official visit to South Carolina today, according to the Spartanburg Herald Journal.

Hamga has crossed paths with USC coach Darrin Horn a tad in the past, he told the Herald Journal, but isn't all that familiar with him. When Horn was still at Western Kentucky, he was actively recruiting one of Hamga's high school teammates.

Once Hamga's visit at South Carolina wraps up on Wednesday, he'll be heading straight to New Jersey to take an official visit at Rutgers.

It's possible Hamga may visit another school or two after Rutgers, with likely destinations being Ole Miss, Providence or Wichita State.

He has yet to set a timetable for a decision.
