If this isn't Sharron Angle, the great revisionist historian, in a nutshell, I'm not sure what is.
In the video clip at right, you not only can see the GOP U.S. Senate nominee telling a group of Hispanic children at Rancho High School that images of Latinos in her ad that are clearly Latinos may not be. Indeed, the images in the ad are of Hispanics in Mexico, as The Washington Post and others have pointed out. And it is no mystery what race they are, as she claims.
Getty Images has made a copyright claim on the image used in the ad, so hard to find a link. But the image is here, and there is no mystery:
But then she takes it far -- even for her -- by talking about how the real problem is the northern border! Yes, she says it. Listen and watch. So maybe those threatening kids are about to cross the Ambassador Bridge into Detroit for a tryout with the Red Wings?

Question: Why is it that in all of your commercials you have the image of Latinos? What do you see when you hear, and I quote, “illegal aliens?”
Angle: I think that you’re misinterpreting those commercials. I’m not sure that those are Latinos in that commercial. What it is, is a fence and there are people coming across that fence. What we know is that our northern border is where the terrorists came through. That’s the most porous border that we have. We cannot allow terrorists; we cannot allow anyone to come across our border if we don’t know why they’re coming. So we have to secure all of our borders and that’s what that was about, is border security. Not just our southern border, but our coastal border and our northern border.

You know I have been so disgusted by this election that I actually got on line and went to the Nevada Supreme Court library, and you know what, it is VOLUNTARY for a candidate to sign the oath of fair campaign practices. That means if they don't sign it, they can lie and say whatever the heck they want. Do you think that's what's happening here? I say it's time to change that, make it a REQUIREMENT for a candidate to sign the oath in order to become a candidate, AND if they violate the oath, make it a Class A felony. You want smaller government? I guarantee you'll get smaller government, and a lot more honest politicians. It's time to act folks.

Latino's are legal citizens whose ancestry comes from latin america. Illegal aliens are nationals from another country who break our immigration laws by being in our country.
It is sad to listen to the Harry lovers, they as Harry's supporters stretch the truth as does Harry to try and say anything bad about Sharon so Harry might be able to catch up. Too late, our citizens are tired of Harry's lies and the sad thing is his supporters want to continue these lies which are only making Harry look worse. You Harry lovers are fools. Keep up the lying. It's only getting worse for you. Right now you are the best thing Sharon has going, keep the lying up and you people will see Sharon run away with this election.

Even the Washington Post today (10/18) points up the revisionist shortcomings of Harry Reid evidenced in the debate. The Post documents that Reid "falsely claimed that he had been working with Petraeus on the surge all along". The Post also points out three other debate declarations made by Harry that "are even further from the truth". Why does Ralston and the media continue to turn a blind eye to Reid whoppers like these while beating up on Angle at every turn? Something smells rotten here.

Even if Harry Reid wins this race (and I certainly hope he does), it bothers me that so many of my fellow Nevadans care so little about our collective future that they would support not only the woman Sharron Angle, but the platform she stands on.
I don't understand how her supporters, who rail against the "bank bailout"(which, by the way has been mostly repaid with interest), can at the same time oppose finance reform and regulation.
Or how they still oppose the auto makers' "bailout" which has saved an important American industry and millions of manufacturing jobs in auto and related industries.
Or how they can keep calling the stimulus "failed," when it has statistically saved many jobs and in some cases improved our infrastructure.
Or how they can demonize health care reform as "Obamacare," when if anything, it showed that OBAMA does CARE--about the physical and economic health of our citizens more than he cares about insurance companies' right to control our health care to suit their bottom lines.
Or how they can tolerate vote buying (letting corporations spend unlimited anonymous dollars to buy our elections), when it so contradicts the one-person/one-vote of a democracy.
Or how they can swallow the lies in Angle's ads when they have been refuted by major non-partisan fact-checking organizations.
These instances and many more tell me that about half of Nevadans are oblivious to the consequences of their positions on all of us--including them.
So sharron stole that infamous scary Mexican photo . It's no different than illegally downloading mp3s . sharon downloaded and used for a commercial purpose someones intellectual property . i guess she doesn't want to pay for anything .
Angle is obviously confused. She meant to make a point about the northern border, but she put pictures of Mexicans in her ad. Then she tells Hispanic students that everyone looks Asian, including the men in the ad, the students, and herself. She probably tears her house apart everyday trying to find her keys. She's such a half-wit!
You people should start showing a little respect towards your future Senator Angle. How do you expect her to work for you if you don't show her any respect?

Even as a life-long Democrat I was floored at Bill Clinton's "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" comment.

I am a Canadian and learned recently of MS. Angle's comments to the effect:
"What we know is that our northern border is where the terrorists came through. That's the most porous border that we have"
THIS IS A BLATANT AN OUTRIGHT FALSEHOOD. The 9/11 terrorist did not come from Canada. They originated from within the USA with VISAS granted to them by the U.S. Government. It still amazes me that U.S. politicians continue to perpetuate this myth that has been debunked for years now. It is so ridiculous that our Ambassador to the Unites States Gary Doer had to once again write a letter to Ms. Angle asking her to set the record straight.
Here are some excerpts from a recent news piece on the subject.
In his note to Angle on Monday, Mr. Doer emphasized that "none of the 9/11 hijackers entered the United States from or through Canada."
He said extensive investigations by U.S. law enforcement authorities have established that all of the hijackers entered the U.S. directly from third countries -- not Canada -- with visas issued by U.S. diplomats.
This is not the first time Ottawa has had to inform U.S. politicians that their perception of Canada's involvement in the 9/11 terrorist attacks is wrong.
In April, 2009, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano raised eyebrows when she stated the oft-repeated myth as a fact.
She later insisted she knew there was no Canadian connection to 9/11, but within days Arizona Senator John McCain, the 2008 Republican presidential candidate, repeated the claim.
Republican Newt Gingrich also had to apologize to the Canadian ambassador in 2005 for making the same claim.
Mr. Doer reminded Ms. Angle that far from being a threat, Canada is a major contributor to the prosperity in her state, with more than 1.3 million Canadians visiting Nevada in 2009, creating tens of thousands of jobs. The trade between Canada and Nevada in the same year totalled more than $1.3-billion.
"I can assure you that Canada takes border security very seriously and trust you will see fit to set the record straight," Mr. Doer ended the letter, which was posted on the website of the Department of Foreign Affairs.
And according to some news reports, a Canadian politician has called Angle out for her lies and fear-mongering just as the mayor of Dearborn called her out for lying about sharia law in his city.
Hey, Sharron, will you accept the mayor of Dearborn's invitation to visit his city and see that it isn't governed by sharia law?
I believe the recent comments made by Ms. Angle really take the American voter for granted. Does she not believe that people want to hear the truth-indeed are inherently permitted to know truth?
Irregardless of whether her northern border comments are an insult to one of your country's strongest allies, indeed an ally that has stood beside The United States and shed its blood with your fellow countryman in Afghanistan fighting terrorism, Ms. Angle's comments truly and most significantly represent an insult to the american voter's intelligence.
I cannot see how anyone could endorse such a politician who is either clearly xenophobic or truly ignorant of the realities facing her both domestic and foreign.
@Totalize, you speak way to freely about the events of 9/11, there was never a federal investigation, or any investigation into the events before, during and after 9/11. That means the Bush administrations' story is just as much a conspiracy theory as the rest of them.
Total lies, the fact that you are a canadian, you can post here, but I hope you don't think we care about what you post.
