Four years ago, Lynn Hettrick backed Bob Beers in the race for governor against Jim Gibbons. And he said some awfully nasty things about Gibbons right before the primary, including that he wanted to help give public employee unions more rights. (The horror.) Hettrick also called Gibbons a taxer and spender and dishonest, among other things.

Beers is now heading up the Gibbons OPEN Government Initiative. And Hettrick is now the governor's deputy. Ah, the small world of Nevada politics.

See Hettrick's letter at right.
