Secretary of State looking into allegations assemblywoman used campaign money for personal use

Assemblywoman Kathy McClain, running for the state Senate, has retained high-powered attorney Todd Bice in the case of using her campaign funds to buy out her retirement (PERS) obligation. She may need him, as the letter at right attests. I have previously reported she used tens of thousands of campaign funds to pay PERS and some for other personal purposes, too. She told me she was "looking into it." Now I know why.
