In a letter to Speaker Barbara Buckley and Senate Majority Leader Steven Horsford, Gov. Jim Gibbons threatens to sue lawmakers if they do not remove their instructions to legislative lawyers not to draft his legislation intended for an upcoming special session:
"I do not believe it is legally permissible for the Legislative Counsel to decline -- or perhaps be instructed to decline - to draft legislation for the Governor. A prompt reply to this quandary is appreciated, as the necessity for a definitive answer vis-ã-vis the court system is imminently ripe should the Legislative Counsel not perform her Constitutional and statutory duties to draft legislation for the Governor."
He also asks lawmakers to come up with their own ideas to balance the budget. The full letter is at right.

imminently RIPE?
Please, Gym. Leave your personal problems out of this.
why isn't anyone calling out the governor for potentially wasting taxpayer money on litigation and staff time for bill drafts that have ZERO chance of moving forward. That plus the threat of "multiple" special sessions? That's wasteful and pointless. you could probably use that money to pay salary for a few teachers.
The monkeyman is grasping at straws, howling Fire in the theater and grabbin ass in the parkin lot.
Quick, somebody call a doctor... (..'s wife!)
That letter is dated 2009...
Impeach this moron now and take the idiot Ensign with him!
Kudos to a chief executive (governor) that is standing up to an ineffective legislature that is trying everything they can to keep him from doing his job.
Yikes, I guess when gibbions insnt chasing little girls through parking lots or making phone whoopee with other guys wives he actually spends time having thoughts about on how he runs the state. That is truly scary, couldnt we all chip in and buy him a gift card for like one of the bunny ranches that should keep occupied while resposible adults tend the to the state. As a matter of fact we could get one for enzmye the senator too.
F*** GIBBONS
Yikes, I guess when Clinton was not chasing little girls through the White House or playing cigar games with interns that he probably did not have time to have thoughts about on how he ran the country. That explains a lot like 9/11, failure to capture Bin Laden, the weaking of lending regulations, perhaps we should have had we all chip in and purchased him a gift card for like one of the bunny ranches that should keep occupied while resposible adults would have tended the to the country.
Excellent post lowbo........reminding us of one of the your greatest heros
Thank you Jim for standing up for me, a regular Nevadan and trying to fix things. I wish the rest would help. That was a very nice invitation to the rest of them for assistance, to bad we are out of money to continue buying votes and public opinion to support their causes.

Ha! Ha! Ha! That's funny! The state legislature keeping Gibbons from doing his job! Wow!
Governor "blockhead" has not a clue as to what is job really is, and he wouldn't be able to do his job if he actually did know what it is....
Look in the dictionary, and find the word "inept." Instead of seeing a definition of the word, you will see a picture of governor "blockhead."
As always, a picture is worth a 1000 words!
