In a memo to department heads, Gov. Jim Gibbons outlines a series of emergency budget moves to take effect March 1, including eliminating most travel and overtime, imposing a hiring freeze and analyzing all contracts and leases. Hard not to argue that these are fiscally prudent steps during a recession.
See the memo at right.

Some how, this nutweed governor actually seems to be making sense. In a recession/depression, he seems to be on the right track. All the public union loafers have to be terrified.
He's doing the right things to get our state straightened out. God forgive me, but maybe he's not chasing skirts full time, and actually paying attention to our problems. WTG, Jim.
Funny when republicans ban travel, it is fiscally responsible, when Obama does it, it is anti business.
That should have been done months ago. Johnny come lately.
That is funny Nick and true.
