Harper HR video shooting up the charts

Hitting highlights

NOW

If this keeps up, Sports Illustrated cover boy Bryce Harper of Las Vegas is going to be downloaded more times than that Cindy Margolis chick.

The YouTube video of his 502-foot home run at Tropicana Field was up to 1,126,941 views when I checked it a few minutes ago.

In case you are wondering, the most-viewed YouTube video of all time is a six-minute "Evolution of Dance" performed by a guy named Judson Laipply. (It's freakin' hilarious, BTW). It was up to 121,386,287 views.

The second most-watched YouTube clip (with 120,692,343 views) is a video by Avril Lavigne. It mostly shows high school-aged girls riding around in bumper cars and playing miniature golf.

Not being 19, I didn't get it.

THEN

While researching this blog, I noticed that David Soul's "Don't Give Up On Us Baby" video had been viewed 559,022 times on YouTube.

Make that 559,023 times. The temptation of the Soul Man singing was simply impossible to resist.
