A vote for free stuff

Don't be too quick to peel off your "I Voted" sticker and toss it into the trash can. Sporting it on Tuesday can get you more than nods of approval from your co-workers: From free ice cream to complementary tickets, everyone is getting into the spirit of giving in honor of the democratic process.

Free drinks

No matter what kind of buzz you’re going to need after the choices you just made for Clark County, Nevada and the rest of the country, Starbucks and Steiner's have you covered. Area Starbucks will be giving away one free, tall cup of coffee to everyone who comes in with a sticker. For a different kind of buzz, all three Steiner's pubs locations are giving away a free beverage of your choice with any meal purchased.

Free food

If you display your voting sticker, stopping by one of The Cupcakery's two locations will earn you one vanilla or chocolate cupcake iced with patriotic frosting. In keeping up with the sweet trend, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts locations throughout the valley will be handing out star-shaped iced doughnuts with patriotic sprinkles. And finally, Ben and Jerry’s is sweetening the deal by offering one free scoop of ice cream to all voters from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., no sticker required.

Specials

If the other freebies haven't been enough, head to the Strip for more election night celebration specials. From 5:30 p.m until 9:30 p.m., Palazzo nightclub Lavo is hosting an Election Day edition of its Executive Lounge networking party, which is open to the public. Also at the Palazzo, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. SushiSamba is offering election-themed cocktails -- The Maverick and The Obamarama. At the Flamingo, your sticker will earn you one complementary ticket for comedian George Wallace’s show. The tickets are valid through Nov. 11.

So, regardless of who wins or loses, voters who exercise their civic duty can snag some free goodies this Election Day.

  1. Like so many can afford the Palazzo nightclub right? How about a free meal at Dennys?
