Gibbons: no decision on personal life

CARSON CITY -- Gov. Jim Gibbons said today no decision has been made on a divorce or a separation from his wife, Dawn.

He told reporters this was a “personal” issue and he is “not going to work it out in the newspapers.”

Gibbons said he is still living at the governor’s mansion in Carson City but that he occasionally stays in Reno at the couple's home.

His comments were the first on the subject of reported marital troubles.

The couple has three children and three grandchildrens.

The governor returned to his office today for the first time in two weeks. He attended the National Governors Conference in Washington D.C. and then took a week off to visit with his son who was home from the Maritime Academy.
