Testing for Hepatitis B and C and HIV viruses will be offered free to the uninsured Saturday, March 8, from 9 a.m. To 1 p.m. at Community Counseling Center, 1129 Almond tree Lane in Las Vegas. Dr. Michael Karagiozis will be directing the testing. Call 636-1800 for more information.
Also, UMC has informed the Sun that the UMC Quick Care centers around the Las Vegas Valley will not charge for visits leading to referrals for the testing. LabCorp is offering the testing free to the uninsured.
Also, UnitedHealth Group has made available nurse counseling services to anyone who would like to speak to a trained health care professional about his concerns. Call the toll-free help line number 800-336-3587, which will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
