Chance for thunderstorms

Hot, sticky weather is on tap today for the Las Vegas Valley, with a chance for thunderstorms.

Beyond the Sun

The National Weather Service is forecasting a 20 percent chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms today, with partly sunny skies and a high reaching near 99 degrees.

The chance for showers and thunderstorms continues tonight, with a 20 percent chance for rain before 11 p.m., the weather service said.

After tonight, rain chances diminish through Thursday night, the weather service said.

McCarran International Airport reported traces of rain (less than 0.01 of an inch) from about 10 a.m. to about 4 p.m. on Sunday.
