Auditions are open to all middle and high school students. If you are selected to go on and compete in the talent show, you could win a gift card to the Galleria Mall!

  • Saturday, Feb. 7 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Paseo Verde Library
  • Monday, Feb. 9 between 6:30-8pm at the Gibson Library

The show for high school students will be at 7 p.m. Feb. 23 the Galleria Mall. Middle school students will perform the next day at 7 p.m.

"It is growing," says Marcie Smedley, youth services department head at the Gibson Library. "The depth of talent in this community is amazing."

Smedley says last year, the talent consisted of singing, dancing, piano and guitar players, magicians and some performing monologues.

Three librarians will select who will move on from the auditions to the show. Smedley says the judges at the talent show will be members of the community with backgrounds in dance, music, and drama.

Prizes, which are gift cards to the Galleria Mall, will be awarded for first, second and third place at both the middle- and high school-level. First place gets $100, second place $75, and third place $50.
