We’ll have some clarity in the prep football standings after this week’s games.

Most classifications will feature contests that could decide the conference champion, including in the Class 5A, Division II, with Foothill facing off against host Faith Lutheran. Both teams are undefeated in league games.

It’s a similar narrative in the Class 5A, Division III, with Palo Verde and Legacy playing in the de facto league championship game.

And in the Class 4A, Mojave will face some stiff competition against Centennial in another battle of undefeated teams.

In the Class 3A, Boulder City plays SLAM Nevada looking to create chaos in the standings. A Boulder City win would create a three-way tie for first place heading into the last week of the regular season Oct. 20 between Boulder City, SLAM and Moapa Valley.

The picks column went undefeated last week at 17-0 and sits at 105-19 for the season. Here’s a look at another week of games.
