Connor Afoa hurdles defender

Foothill High running back Connor Afoa showed his athletic ability during a scrimmage last week against Faith Lutheran, hurdling a defender after catching a screen pass on his way to a long gain.

And it was all caught on tape and posted to YouTube.

The senior, who doubles at safety and was part of Sun's all-preseason team, is arguably the top player in the Henderson-based Southeast Division. Judging by this video, the 6-foot-1, 200-pound Afoa could be primed for several more great performances.
