It was March 3 when Lon Kruger held in his hands two checks, each for $3.5 million, given by Las Vegas Paving Corp. owner and CEO Bob Mendenhall.
The money from Mendenhall made up the majority of the $11.7 million donated for the new men's basketball practice facility, which, of course, will be named the Mendenhall Center.
Want to watch that money at work? Here you go, as the school has unveiled a live webcam feed on its site, where you can stalk — er, watch — the ongoing construction at your leisure.
Of course, right now, all there is is a fenced in lot, a few piled of dirt and some heavy machinery.
For those of you trying to place where this is going on, it's just in front of the Cox Pavilion.
But the feed could get interesting in the coming weeks.
The project will likely be completed in the spring, and ready for use in time for the 2011-12 season.
