The federal judge who sentenced Pure nightclub owner Steve Davidovici to house arrest and probation yesterday for tax evasion is staying entry of the sentence.

U.S. District Court Judge Kent Dawson says until this morning, when he was called by the media, he didn’t know his son worked at Gallery, a nightclub in Planet Hollywood where Davidovici served as a consultant. Government lawyers, who already objected to the sentence, asked the judge for time to consider their options.
