Hit Bottom?

Home sales are up. Prices are down Realtors say the elusive bottom is at hand. Yet the number of homes in danger of foreclosure is twice what it was a year ago. Won't those future repossessions drag prices down even more? Get answers on today's program to that question and hear why Countrywide, one of the nation's largest lenders, is freezing home equity lines of credit for valley borrowers.

Plus, a healthy homebuilding industry is in everyone's best interests.. but should the government bail out troubled homebuilders now? Did the government step in and say "take it easy raising those prices" during the buying frenzy? Jon asks some experts tonight.

The phrase "private lives of public officials" is an oxymoron. Some private lives are just more newsworthy than others, especially when hypocrisy appears evident. Jim Gibbons has long painted himself as a devoted husband dedicated to family values. Sure, Chrissy Mazzeo claims he quipped that marriage isn't all it's cracked up to be. But we weren't there to verify. Now, by requesting his divorce proceedings sealed, the governor has us wondering if he has something to hide. If he wants to talk about it, I've got a suggestion...

Eight Belles collapsed in front of millions of Kentucky Derby fans, but horses you'll never hear of meet the same fate everyday. An expert told one paper this happens all the time in sports, that "guys get hurt." But Eight Belles, unlike those guys, never asked to play the game.

While experts examine breeding, age, whips, etc... a more basic question seems at hand: Why does man have the right to impose his will on animals?

We'll hear from a local man who is part owner of a horse who ran in the Derby and from some critics, including animal activist Jill Curtis, the wife of actor Tony Curtis.
