Seven year itch

Face to Face will mark its seventh anniversary in March and since we're never too old to try something new, or maybe we've got the seven-year itch, say howdy to the Final Take...where I'll take you behind the scenes. Jon can't always have the last word.

I plan to take you behind the scenes of America's most popular news discussion program. Someday. But for now... aren't you dying to know who refused to sit in the hot seat? Can't sleep without knowing which government types refuse to be held accountable?

For instance, Friday we did a program on the Clark County School District teacher who was arrested for allegedly inappropriately touching a student. He told the cops he'd been suspended by the district in 2005 for a similar violation, allegedly touching a student's breast. So.... if the district suspended him, why was he given a chance to possibly do it again? A CCSD employee told us the district has no written policy covering teachers accused of inappropriate sexual behavior with a student. Is that really possible? Must be, because we couldn't find a school district official, school board member or teachers' union representative to talk about it. And why did a witness (teacher? school employee??) tell police she saw the teacher hug the student but turned her back because she "didn't want to watch."
