Bloomberg is reporting that Las Vegas Sands Corp., which is the biggest developer on Macau's Cortai Strip, said recent cutbacks on land concessions is a signal that the regional government wants more "orderly growth" for new casino resorts.
The business news service said Mike Leven, chief operating officer, said the government was trying to avoid what happened in 2008, when the economy put a halt to several projects and workers were laid off.
