Summers takes a rookie lump at Steelers camp

Former UNLV running back Frank Summers apparently might have to make some adjustments to make sure his nickname -- 'The Tank' -- sticks with him in the NFL.

Summers, who the Pittsburgh Steelers selected in the fifth round in April, was leveled during Sunday's practice in Latrobe, Pa., by cornerback William Gay. The 240-pound Summers outweighs Gay by nearly 50 pounds.

It caused some commotion, as running back Carey Davis and safety Ryan Clark joined the mix after the play with plenty of jawing going on.

"When you carry a nickname like 'The Tank' guys are going to try you," Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said. "They want him to prove that nickname is earned."
