The Reno Gazette-Journal reports that of 600 likely voters surveyed statewide in a Gazette-Journal/Channel 2 News poll, Obama led with 50 percent to McCain's 43 percent. Three percent of those surveyed are siding with another candidate and only 4 percent are undecided.

Let's see how healthy that lead is when the facts about the ACORN voter registration fraud come out.
There was a raid of ACORN offices in LV this morning but I don't see anything about it on here.
ummm, I like guilt by association. Like how Bush is soooo buddy buddy with the house of Saud and the rest of the bin Laden family. That must mean Bush is in league with Osama.

BTW, what about Palin and her whole no abortions for rape/incest victims. Or making rape victims in Wasilla pay the police for their rape kits. That doesn't sound completely horrible.

But, that's not your point is it? The Republican National Committee has been beating the hammer against ACORN for months now because ACORN registers low-income people - those most likely to vote Democratic. It's all part of the typical Republican voter suppression campaign that happens every election cycle:

It seems every time I turn on the local radio, there is some conservative woman railing about ACORN. It's the most ridiculous, racist, class-warring thing I've encountered in a long time.
NICE one there bemskraft. Sometimes you just have to call em like you see em. After all we are soon entering the final act of this play. Here's where republicans shift to how horrible the other guy is, not how great their guy is. Obama promises the much needed change this country deserves, not more of the McSame.
Well, let's see where it goes as many folks soberly assess the falsehoods being put forth by Palin and the interference with religious freedom by her version of the McCain camp marching lock step with self-righteous religionists and others who fail to understand the threat to our personal freedoms by the current administration. Let's see - I recently read that liberals wake up in the morning and seek reconciliation and honest dialogue - and they often lose because conservatives have no interest in that - rather they wake up in the morning and strategize to destroy those whose opinions are different than theirs. Ok, radical love should be the rule of the day (not to be confused with love of radicals or love of the righteous or the love of individual in particular). God bless America and all of her children!

I am glad that you are agreeing with Bush.
Before Obama voted for it, I could have swore that most Democrats were saying that FISA was from the Devil and that it was ripping the Constitution into pieces.
I guess Obama enlighten a lot of Democrats about how good the bill is.

Your confusion is understandable. Nance, you see, is operating in an alternate universe in which, earlier in this thread, someone actually did mention FISA, leading to his logical retort.
In this alternate universe your alternate self lamely suggested that FISA was not a "threat to our personal freedoms," leading to Nance's second killer zinger of the day.
Fortunately for Nance, McCain now holds a seven-point lead in the polls in this alternate universe. So he's pretty happy these days.
You can not have it both ways.

Oh, and ACORN's PAC endorses Obama's campaign.
Lots of things are both good and bad, for instance, FISA may slightly protect us, it also allows the collection of excessive amounts of stuff which has the potential for abuse. Ok, ACORN serves the poor and has at times done illegal things. We shall see where it all leads. We will continue with the grand experiment that we call AMERIKA!

ACORN Statement from Bertha Lewis, Interim Chief Organizer, on raid of Las Vegas office
October 07, 2008:
"Over the past year, ACORN has worked hard to help over 80,000 people in Clark County register to vote. As part of our nonpartisan voter registration program, we have reviewed all the applications submitted by our canvassers. When we have identified suspicious applications, we have separated them out and flagged them for election officials. We have zero tolerance for fraudulent registrations. We immediately dismiss employees we suspect of submitting fraudulent registrations.
"For the past 10 months, any time ACORN has identified a potentially fraudulent application, we turn that application in to election officials separately and offer to provide election officials with the information they would need to pursue an investigation or prosecution of the individual.
"Election officials routinely ignored this information and failed to act. In early July, ACORN asked to meet with election officials to express our concerns that they were not acting on information ACORN had presented to them. ACORN met with Clark County elections officials and a representative of the Secretary of State on July 17th. ACORN pleaded with them to take our concerns about fraudulent applications seriously. One week later, elections officials asked us to provide them with a second copy of what we had previously provided to them. ACORN responded by giving election officials copies of 46 'problem application packages,' which involved 33 former canvassers.
"On September 23, ACORN had received a subpoena dated September 19th requesting information on 15 employees, all of whom had been included in the packages we had previously submitted to election officials. ACORN provided our personnel records on these 15 employees on September 29.
"Today's raid by the Secretary of State's Office is a stunt that serves no useful purpose other than to discredit our work registering Nevadans and distracting us from the important work ahead of getting every eligible voter to the polls."
Politics! "We, the People", who pay for all this corruption for both Republican and Democrats! Come on People! We have become brainwashed citizens! We must stop fighting with each other in defending our political parties and their views! There is corruption to some degree or another on both sides. It's so out of control, doesn't seem to matter how we vote anymore, local, state, congress, or presedential. No longer are the days of "how to be of service" with compensation in direct proportion. More like, how can they take away service to gain Corporate profits! Politicians are being paid a salary by "We, the People" and they are giving Corporate favors, passing bills for outrageous payoffs! Domino's pizza delivery orders taken by operators in India! Budweiser, an American beer (Amheiser-Bush), sold to a foreign company, no longer owned by an American, (McCain's wife and family) However, we must choose the lesser of the two evil in this election. Who is going to be the best candidate to restore and bring jobs, have affordable healthcare, we are being raped by medical insurance! There again, we have become so brainwashed "no socialized medicine"! Not socialized, reformed-government regulated, the way Wall Street should of been! There is more corruption there than Wall Street! But "We, the People" pay or die! Money before people. They need those people to pay taxes, taxes needed to pay bail-out, 3 wars, etc. Wake up! As for Palin, her daughter 17, and pregnant....what about having sex before marriage? More like, couldn't take birth-control, because that would be a sin, doing what is human nature and now will have to change her life to abide to her Mother's brainwashed beliefs.
