No it wasn't a gunman that shot Jack Foeschler's 12 sheep in early April. The Carson City area man had thought the wounds in his dead sheep resembled small-caliber bullet holes. So he set up some cameras outside his pens to catch the culprit.
But a videotape revealed it wasn't a human poacher, but a mountain lion, which effortlessly leaped over the six-foot fence, snared a lamb and walked away.
