Utah homes evacuated during ricin search

(via Salt Lake Tribune) · March 2, 2008 · 8:42 AM

Houses were evacuated this morning in a two-block area in Riverton, Utah, while FBI agents search a home where the man had lived who last week was discovered to have had the deadly toxin ricin in his Las Vegas motel room, the Salt Lake Tribune reported.

The man, Roger Von Bergendorff, lies in a coma in a Nevada hospital. The home being searched is that of his cousin, Tom Tholen, where Von Bergendorff stayed for nearly a year in 2005 and 2006.
