Wild horses near Nevada's old mining town Virginia City have found a friend in Willie Nelson, who recently joined the battle to preserve the herd. Nelson was informed by singer-songwriter Lacy J. Dalton of what many wild horse advocates saw as a move by the Nevada Agriculture Department to round up approximately 1,200 horses for eventual livestock sales.
